It's still August!
I'm back from a lovely Vermont vacation with caorann, lanchid, and starbuck3614. I bought flip flops, funky socks, a pill box and a pewter earrings and necklace set. Really not much at all. Then I came home today and bought a 13-inch MacBook Pro. taffimai came with me for moral support and of course provided Mac-bashing commentary, but I held fast to my Mac loyalties.
Of course, the Apple Store disavowed all knowledge of the corporate discount that I was supposed to get, so I'll have to ask at work how that is listed so I can have it retroactively applied.
Taffy also recommended that I check out OpenOffice rather than purchase Microsoft Office. I am not sure how well the translation back and forth with Word would work, so In the next 2 weeks I need to check it out. If it works well, I may return the Microsoft Office I bought.
Well, I need to prepare for work tomorrow and get some sleep in my own bed.
