More than halfway

So, I've been here for more than half my visit. I have 10 class days left... of 16. Friday morning we leave for a long weekend in Ica, where we'll see the sun for the first time in two weeks. It's so cloudy here... all the time. Class is class, though 316 with Leo is rediculous because we're so far behind our syllabus and our test got pushed back to Wednesday. For 300, today, Kay mentioned three stories that are huge literary works, and I've read all of them. So strange.
Yesterday I went to the Indian Market in here in Miraflores. I got a few more gifts and random things. I got myself a ring to wear in Europe and I'm currently wearing it, though it feels so wrong. See, apparently in a lot of foreign countries, the best way not to get molested is to look married. It's just a silver band, but really, I wouldn't want more than that for a wedding band. I am excited about the gifts I've got for people, though.
Today for lunch I went to this sandwich place that sells churros. I thought I'd share that after my sandwich, I got two chocolate filled churros that were incredibly delicious. I did give some of one of them to the girls I ate lunch with, so maybe that will make me not so fat. I ate with Liz and Natalie, who are roommates and quite nice. Liz is crazy, but very entertaining and Natalie is just nice.
For Father's Day, well, things weren't really too different from any other Sunday in our house. Everyone came over and lunched together. We had some awesome lasagna that didn't include red sauce, so I don't know what the deal was there. There were like five lasagnas though; there were a lot of us eating. I called Chapel Hill and talked to my parents, which was nice. My Dad wasn't expecting that.
I'd like to write about hiking to Macchu Picchu sometime, but I know I'll write entirely too much. Don't worry though, I have some details written down in a paper journal that I have. Let's just say, my favorite part was the third night when we slept in the clouds.
