A light in the very dour place that my blog has become:
I am finally, finally, FINALLY going to get paid!!! After 67 days of work! In a couple of weeks or so, yeah, but the assurance that I will in fact get paid (my contract! is done! sitting on Ate Rhea's desk!) is leaps and bounds away from making daily calls to the funding agency, practically begging them to release the goddamn check for our project.
The suppliers, of course, are still hounding us, and everything I'm doing now, the boss wanted done last week, but I suppose that's just life. Even if one of my cell cultures looks like snot, at least I have good ELISA results. :D
(Though, everything can just go hang next week, because I need to fight for my academic life, i.e. my place in the MS MBB program.)
