I wish it would rain down...down on me

Have you ever walked in the rain?  And I don’t mean just jutting out of your house, getting a few drops on you, and running back in squealing like a little girl.  I mean have you ever walked out in the rain?  I did today…perhaps for the first time ever.  It was fantastic.  Almost like a religious experience.  Well, almost.  I had to go over to the Board of Ed. office after school for an interview with Dr. Brennan for an article I’m writing for the newspaper (yes, unlike the rest of that freakin’ class, I write).  Anyway, it was lightly raining on my way over.  I was dressed like a jackass today.  Shorts, t-shirt, and a fall jacket.  Anyway, after the interview, it was pouring.  So I walked, without an umbrella, in my ridiculous outfit.  I wasn’t perturbed at all by the fact I was gonna walk all the way home in the pouring rain.  I was actually intrigued by the fact.  It was great!  My hair got soaked and the water kept pouring off of it onto my face.  The rain was cold, although it was still kinda warm outside.  The refreshing drops rolled down my face, down my nose (which is quite a commute), down my lips and onto my chin.  It was such a refreshing feeling.  Just to walk in the rain and not give a damn that I was wet because…it’s just water.  It was…liberating.
