I'm starting to sense a pattern.
Every year when I come home for Christmas, I have problems getting home due to the weather. Two years ago, I got snowed in and didn't make it home until after Christmas. Last year, my flights were delayed. This year, it happened again. I arrived at the airport at 7 am on Tuesday morning (after staying up all night. It's not worth it to get three hours of sleep when I can just sleep on the plane). But due to ice on the runway, our plane can't take off. The flight gets delayed for about three hours until they get rid of the ice.
Of course, this causes me to miss my original connection, but I got myself on the waiting list for the second flight out of Denver to Minneapolis. So once my flight from Durang lands in Denver, I rush to try to get to my connecting flight, only to find out that they finished boarding about two minutes before I arrived, which made me really sad. Especially since the next flight wasn't for about four and a half hours. But I did make it home that night, just eight hours after I had planned on arriving. I think we should really considering moving Christmas to another month, like July, where I wouldn't have these problems.
But yeah, I'm home for Christmas at least. Christmas Evbe was spent with my mother's side of the family, and Christmas Day was just my immediate family. Saturday we head down to the Cities for my dad's side of the family, and Sunday at noon I leave for Colorado again. Man, it feels like I didn't spend much time here at all. But then again, outside of hanging with the family, there's not much for me here in Glenwood anymore, since I don't really know anyone who's around.
But I did get a Wii. And so did my sisters. Although I think I'm going to sell mine back since I would rather have money for a new tv rather than a Wii.
