Rob and I hosted a little get-together on Halloween featuring some Imo's Pizza, almost 20 pounds of candy and a bunch of wine coolers.
Sarah, Jorge and Danny came up, and we watched two Tim Burton films (The Nightmare Before Christmas & Beetlejuice), and had a pumpkin-carving extravaganza.
Rob and I had been decking out the yard for weeks, with the help of Chris, Claude and Jordan, and we bought a lighted arch for this year and future purposes and finally stuck it outside as well to guide the trick-or-treaters.
When the jack-o-lanterns were all done, we put them out on our porch railing and lit them and waited.
We got one trick-or-treater... and I was in the bathroom when she came.
Oh well. We had lots of fun and ended up breaking the toilet. LOL.
Dan was cool enough to take some pictures of the event with his phone (just the jack-o's).
Here are some of the pictures, and there will be more later, as we still have most of the jack-o-lanterns in good condition and I'll have a camera by this evening.
Here's the lot of them!
Here's a view from just under the arch.
This is a design called 'evil twins' carved by Christy.
And this be the kraken from 2006's Pirates of the Caribbean! (also done by Christy)
A kitty cat, a ghost with a grave and tree and a witch summoning a demon. The first two are mine and the last is Rob. The witch/demon really rocks. :D
And here's Danny's ubercool alien with spaceships. He's our resident sci-fi enthusiast (along with Roberto).
