I am trying to watch
Last Days, but it is pretty difficult. Maybe I am just not in the right mood to watch this film, part of me really enjoys the style of direction, and the other is just tired of the constant wandering and paranoia of the main character. And I get it, it is supposed to be representational of the real last days of Kurt Cobain, but it is just difficult to really enjoy. I don't know I'll wait until it is over to pass final judgement, maybe I'll need to rewatch it to really appreciate it.
Anyways over break I was able to delve back into pleasure reading, I was able to finish
iWoz on the train ride home, it was fun and interesting to see how Woz himself saw things while before, during and after his time with Apple. So right now I am reading
Getting Things Done, and I actually am enjoying it dispite my usual feeling toward these kind of self help style books. So over break I picked up a few new books that hopefully I will be able to dive into, here is what is on the queue:
Obama's
Audacity of Hope Peter Iron's
A People's History of the Supreme Court(I am really excited about this one, I really feel I don't know enough about the history of the Supreme Court)
Gladwell's
The Tipping Point Chomsky and Achcar's
Perilous Power: The Middle East and U.S. Foreign Policy And a classic Heller's
Catch 22 So along with the school work of Spring quarter I have quite the list, but I am really enjoying getting back into non-technical reading. Anyways back to Last Days, things seem to be looking up.
