Actions like these are hurtful by nature. Premeditated, IMHO malicious actions. A person can have the best intentions in the world but it's really easy to step back and see that what you're doing is wrong.

It seems to me that this is a maturity issue, and, unfortunately, of a nature that is not easy to spot until it's too late. Someone with a mature concept of inter-personal relationships, of any and all kinds, knows damn well that you cannot act selfishly and not hurt someone in the process

P.S. Sarah doesn't know that any of this has been going on with you (I just found out today cause I haven't been paying attention to my LJ), but I can promise you she says "Hi" and would offer lots of hugs, despite the fact that she normally doesn't like to touch/be touched by anyone other than me and her mother.
