A bed-time story to my unborn child

Close your eyes now, I am here
Go sail in an ocean of dreams
What story should I tell you to sleep
About a man who loves his baby so much
A man with grey coat and white beard,
A beautiful girl with blond hair
A story of a loaf of bread,
and a bottle of milk
He comes home from work at night
She grabs the bag and cut the bread
He poured the milk, then smiles and sits,
next to his angel and drinks.
He tells her stories of men at the docks,
she laughs and ask if they were nuts.
She tells him about grandma’s shoes
How she lost it all day with no clue.
He tells her more stories and she laughs.
She remembers how grandma snores.
When the bottle of milk is all but glass,
When only a piece of bread is left to eat,
The man wraps it for the morning next.
They do the dishes and laugh some more.
Now its time to huge those pillows
Its time for her to sleep,
He tucks her in bed and kisses that forehead,
Tells her a s bed time story ,
About a man who loves his baby so much.
Go dream now, close your eyes
I am right here waiting for you to sleep,
and when u wake up right here I will still be.
