So this is definitely a record: your review is online earlier than the discussion-thread at chuunin.

Sasuke addresses a real problem, namely that the alliance between the ninja countries will collapse as soon as they no longer have a common enemy. His solution is completely crazy, however. Naruto, however, does not even address the problem, he just tries to show Sasuke the consequences his "solution" will have for him, loneliness and darkness in all eternity. It's a bit weird, because he does not take into account that Sasuke may have considered all this before. Naruto should rather explain to him that this solution won't work for the world and then suggest some better solution. Still on the other hand... You wonder about Naruto's line about not wanting to fight Sasuke as he is now. I think this points to Naruto's belief that Sasuke, as he is now, is not his true self. I agree with Naruto: Sasuke shouldering loneliness and the hatred of the world for the rest of eternity is not the Sasuke I remember from the first 600 chapters of the manga ( ... )

As for Sasuke, he is only assuming the alliance will collapse without a common enemy to fight. I think he is wrong. It is possible for former enemies to become allies and create a long standing peace as we have seen in the RL. I believe the alliance will continue long after the war because it benefits the parties involved.

I don't think Naruto has a better solution. I wonder if they are supposed to come up a solution together. Wouldn't working together result in the cycle of hate being broken?

I don't know what Naruto meant when he said he didn't want to fight Sasuke the way he is now. I hope this is explained in the next chapter.

I'm not sure Sasuke is using Itachi as a role model any more. He recently said Itachi didn't matter at all to him. Seems like he is looking more to Madara and Danzou as role models. He believes Madara was the reason for the alliance and now all of a sudden admires the way Danzou worked behind the scenes in the darkness. That's the way it looks to me.

Of course it can happen, but it does not just "happen", but people need to work for this and they need to resolve existing problems. And for this, people from different villages need to work together. (Though maybe, as we have now learnt that the rivalry between Senju and Uchiha is the source of everything that's evil in the Narutoverse, maybe the two boys working together will also bring peace. On the other hand, with Naruto and Sasuke the sole survivors, there are not many real conflicts that need to be resolved, "only" old grudges (which can be bad enough ( ... )

I think the most efficient argument would be that Madara and Danzou tried all of that before and it did not work that well... Then again, Sasuke has never been keen on discussion, mostly he made up his mind by himself and ignored any other opinion (except from Itachi).
I also don't get why Sasuke cares about the world at all. I guess it's "I will continue Itachi's legacy".
Another major flaw with his masterplan: If he kills Naruto, wouldn't his Ashura spirit just be reborn? Naruto used to be the dumb one but by now he seems to be way more mature.
I guess the final outcome of the fight will be one of the following
- Sasuke wins and tries to kill Naruto but realizes he can't
- Naruto wins and Sasuke realizes his nindo is more powerful
- Sasuke secretly wants to be beaten by Naruto
- They get trapped in infinite Talk no Jutsu
