Excuse for Incoherency: sleep decided to bail on me.
He drains his head each night, every thought of daylight sinking, slipping under black water, into thoughts of his brother. His brother cut him open as he cut their parents open, draining him as his brother drained them. His brother drained him as he drained them, but his brother took his empty shell and now his brother fills him. Nothing else can exist for long in the same space as his dark-eyed, red-eyed brother, and so every night he starts anew even as he dies again, purged and damned by the same thing that fills him, the same thing that drowns every daylight thought in black waters.
