Home, sweet home [Closed to Izume]
Night had fallen by the time they reached Konoha’s gates.
Bidding a quick farewell to her team-mates, Kotsuki set off towards her apartment. She would have taken the quicker route across the rooftops, but she was tired and didn’t want to risk a fall.
The village streets were a welcome sight, especially after spending more than a fortnight in a place that resembled the Forest of Death. She was particularly looking forward to having a proper shower, as opposed to a quick dip in a river where the fish had extremely sharp teeth and were prone to taking a chunk out of one’s leg.
Chuckling softly, she wondered what Izume would say to that. She hoped the other girl hadn’t been moping around while she was gone.
Reaching the apartment, Kotsuki unlocked the door and stepped inside. Stifling a yawn, she kicked off her sandals.
“I’m home!”
