I've become increasingly aware of the fact that me and the RGB/CMYK world just don't mix very well. Anyway.
I remember freshman year, when katie was like, 'man, elaine always draws the hottest guys,' which I admit, is a sad hobby of mine- which I try not to be ashamed of and even attempted a movement with Grace since guys like Ashley Wood only draws guy's fanatsies (nearly nude girls and robots) so why can't I, as a girl, draw what girls like? ... mm, yeah, none of that's going into my professional portfolio...
For some odd reason, I randomly decided to jump onto the 'Victorian Era/Steampunk' bandwagon. It's not that much of a step up from my usual 'Guys in suit and tie' theme I'm forever fixated on, but still. I thought to myself that it'd be a nice start to get myself drawing for fun again- do a a series of portraits or something. So I started with Darwin; thought he'd make a nice nobleman with a necktie. But then I realized I don't particularly enjoy the details of the clothing, (and I still hate hair and understand why so many illustrated guys have long hair (!!)) and thus, the end of that series. Maybe. We'll see.
