It's raining today
Would you walk down the long gravel road and stop to take it the intoxicating scents
The earthy dirt, and crisp blades of grass, the sharp aroma of the dandy lions scattered in the rolling fields.
Would you notice how the dust rose into a cloud around your foot as you took a step
or ponder on all the different types of feet that have walked this road before you
Would you notice the sound of the wind whistling through the grass, making the blades dance.
You are alone on a road surrounded by so much beating life, will you begin to move your hands
let your body sway and feel your body smile as you dance alone, amongst the fields on the long gravel road.
I realized today, that my dream would be to be able to make beautiful music with other people. My life is a constant quest for beauty. Beautiful sound, scents, visuals, tastes, feelings, and moments. A couple years ago my friend Renee got me a book for my birthday where people described their life in 6 words. I decided a while ago that my 6 words would be: "Looked for beauty, and found it". I try to always see beauty around me in the smallest or largest things. The sound of cars passing by in the rain or the smell of coffee. The most beautiful thing though is love. Being with someone you love, I would give up everything else for that embrace of loving bones. I just hope that I can keep my love pure, and that it will not become tainted. Love is so ever-changing and possibly evanescent, but sometimes it can take the strongest hold on a person and never let them go.
