A long gravel road

So my friend Brennan started writing in his journal again and that has inspired me to give it a try again.  This may be short lived but what is to come is unknown to me.

I went to the bank today which, ever since accumulating copious amounts of credit card debt, left a sour taste in my mouth to say the least.  One of the debt consolidator commercial's said it the best: "Feel like your on  a treadmill and can't get off?" Why yes! Thank you for reminding me, the whole burning in my pocket wasn't enough for me to realize how flat broke I really am.  Usually I try to just forget about it and pick up as many shifts as I can, but today the lady helping me at the bank let me know that it was going to be very difficult for me to get a loan for school.  Credit card debt, curse you.

I really need to work out someway to ensure myself full time hours at work for the rest of the summer. Great paying job that I am usually very happy to go to, but hard to secure enough shifts to really tackle my debt and get it down.

Otherwise I downloaded a CD called Dead Man's Bones by Dead Man's Bones, it's Ryan Gosling's band.  I really wanted to buy it, but as aforementioned, I am broke.  It's a really good CD, I love his vocals and a young choir sings backups. They sound like graveyard choir music.  My favorite tracks are: "My body's a zombie for you", "Pa pa power", and "Lose your soul".

I'm Out.  Laura Monkman just walked in the door with her husband and baby Bantam. :D
