Maybe You Should Have
Hoya/Nana. Fluff.
"I should have just told you to stay in bed."

"i need to go to the atm."

jinah looked up from her cup, but howon was already on his feet, a hand digging in his pants' pockets in search for his wallet. he was quiet for a second-probably hit the jackpot-before turning his attention back to her.

"okay," she smiled. he immediately leaned down to land a peck on her lips, before walking towards the exit. jinah nibbled on her macaroon, watching howon as he stopped at the threshold of the café to decide which way to go. jinah rolled her eyes-he didn't even know where the atm is (he decided on left).

she rested her chin in her hand, the other inattentively stirring her coffee. the cup was a quarter full, yet she still felt drowsy. it wasn't like her boyfriend was boring (quite the opposite, actually) but she only got 5 hours of sleep last night-early morning-before lizzy woke her up because her alarm didn't do a good job and it said '10am with howon'.

they haven't seen each other in days since the new semester started, so she was really looking forward to this saturday morning date. it was just that she was doing an assignment the night before and got a little carried away and ended up finishing two other, one of which was not due until next month. her fault.

her head was slipping out of her hand and she didn't even care. howon probably hadn't found the atm (she knew where it was and he went the wrong way) so she sent a quick text of "it's on the opposite direction, next to a camera shop." to howon and closed her eyes.

someone was messing with her hair and she frowned, cracking an eye open when she heard a chuckle in front of her.

she slowly sat straight, inhaling deeply, still keeping a frown for howon. "what took you so long?"

howon grinned and sat down, scrapping the chair on the parquette of the café. "i went the wrong way, didn't i? sorry." he took a macaroon from the plate in the middle of the table. "thanks, though."

jinah nodded and dipped her own macaroon into her coffee.

"i'm sorry."

jinah blinked in confusion, but she still took a bite out of her pastry.

"i should have just told you to stay in bed."

her mouth moved slightly as an attempt to not break the atmosphere, but her lips pulled into a small smile. she swallowed. "maybe you should have." she took a sip of her coffee. "but it's not like i'd rather sleep than spending time with you." it's been a little over a week. besides, she believed she had gone too long without seeing him.

howon glanced at the uneaten macaroon in his hand, then back up to his girlfriend and the demitasse in her hand. it was empty.

"it's late. we should head back." he bit on his lemon macaroon and quirked an eyebrow at jinah.

jinah looked down to check on her watch. "it's 12pm."

"i think a nap is in order."

she stared at him as he finished his macaroon and dusted crumbs from his hand. she let out a chuckle. "you-" she leaned over to wipe some from the corner of his lips. "-are very strange, mister."

howon beamed.

"thoughtful, but strange."

(whoops), (too many mentions of macaroon), afterfinite, p: hoya/nana, (but i like macaroon)
