Busy!

*flops over*  Man, the past few weeks have been busy!  First there was me rushing to get my apartment all nice looking before my boyfriend came over for last weekend, then right after that my parents came up to see me.  O_o  I didn't even have time to clean my place up again before my parents came--oops!  XD  It must have been hard fof my mom not to rearrange everything while I was at work.  As it is, I'm having trouble finding stuff because my mom put them up where they belong...which is not where I put them!  Bleh.  :p

Well, aside from that having my parents over was nice.  My mom and I talked a lot about changing/working on my diet/meal plan.  My mom thinks that I might be pre-diabetic but that I don't have Type II Diabetes (whew).  Of course my mom still wants me to have a ton of blood work done (nooooooooo!).  >_<  Grah, I don't want to know how low my blood sugar can go!  I'll probably end up with me passed out on the floor!

Good news, I've been keeping to that meal plan and my blood sugar has been much more even.  ^_^  Normally after lunch it'll always drop enough to the point where I find it difficult to concentrate.  That said, I can totally see how someone who's hypoglycemic could be misdiagnosed with ADD and how ADD is worsened by hypoglycemia.  Bah. >_<

More good news, parents took pity on me and bought me food and stuff for my place, yays!  :D  Because man, let me tell you, changing one's diet is expensive!  O_O  A lot of the frozen vegetables I bought don't even count as veggies in my meal plan, but as starches or free veggies.  Bah.  I'm going to be spending so much money on snacks now, too.  Judging from this week I'll be going through a box of crackers, a bag of cheese slices, a 24 oz tub of cottage cheese, a bag of apples, not to mention all the veggies I'll be eating, as well.  >_<  Oy, good thing I got that pay raise...

Hmm, what else?  Oh yes, I saw Switchfoot and Copeland in concert this week too!  :D  I went with my friend Vera and her cousin, it was fun.  Well, it wasn't fun waiting for Switchfoot to set up the stuff after Copeland because that's when Vera's cousin started complaining about everything Copeland did wrong and how she didn't spend all this money (Dude, the tickets costed $22.50!  Complain when you pay $80, m'kay?).

Yeah, their performance was less than stellar, but I could tell I liked them.  Anywho, things got better when Vera told her cousin that the band that had just played was Copeland, not Switchfood.  Duuuuuuuuuuh!  Yeesh.  This from a girl that's been involved in the music industry and has performed on stage, you'd think she would have realized that big bands always have another act opening for them.  Heh, guess she also missed the point where the band said that they were Copeland.  Not to mention that they didn't look like Switchfoot either.  Ah well...

Oh, and I slept until nearly 1 pm on St. Patrick's day.  The night before wasn't even a late one, I was just that tired.  Lol.  XD

hypoglycemia, switchfoot, food!, concerts
