So I greeted the final days of Summer with a weekend of naps, sandwiched between a dinner with amazing conversation to start the weekend and a family cookout with goofy family conversation to finish it.
Sure, I realize that summer really isn't over until 9/23 this year (according to some random calendar I just looked-up) ....and being in Texas, the heat generally doesn't let up until mid- to late-October.....but school starts (and my bank account evaporates), and people start acting differently. The mood shifts from summer fun, to autumn work, the clothes up at work shifts from flip-flops to closed-toe shoes, and apparently the weather today decided to join in with an overcast, rainy day. And I, for one, am ready for autumn. I'm not tired of the heat, really...just ready to get past this summer and start fresh with a new season.
So, other than nap, I played probably way too much WoW, finished reading A Clash of Kings (and started reading A Storm of Swords), watched Snakes on a Plane, and ran around town on a whole host of errands, yet somehow still forgot to buy new shoes (or get a haircut for that matter). To sum up: I upgraded my last piece of blue armor on my rogue, continued enjoying reading (and loving) my series, laughed and groaned at the movie, all while being all shaggy in my ratty shoes. And I loved it all. Especially the naps.
I'm really quite a simple being....
