These days, if you visit the Pike Place Market around lunchtime, you might be treated to the atmospheric tunes of the mysterious Erhu busker. This is a man who plays the Erhu, a 2-string violin of Chinese origin. I used to have an erhu, but I never learned to play it properly. I adore erhu music. It makes me think of Peking Opera.
