Game 2 and I can't stop crying
Here's something I don't understand about myself. NOTHING makes me cry like hockey. And this isn't a recent development. Whenever I watch anything that had to do with our glory days (The Oilers Dynasty), or a retirement of an ex-Oiler, or watching our current boys when they're kicking serious ass.....I cry like a fucking baby. I don't know why serious things in the world don't make me cry like this, but if I watch Gretzky's retirement, or when he broke Gordie Howe's record here in Edmonton, or when Messier does anything, or when the current establishment makes MacT and Co. proud...I just cry my eyes out. The emotions get to me.
And now we're gonna choke, and the sadness is killing the whole city. Maybe it's punishment for all the mayhem and badness on the Ave. I don't know - but I REALLY wanted to go to a Stanley Cup parade this year.
