pretty cool weekend, yah :)
I got off school Thursday and Friday for club related fieldtrip thingers. Thursday was World Language Day, we went to UW Madison and had all sorts of workshops about cluture and language from other countries, I learned a bit of Korean, a bit of some african language that I cant pronounce, some Hindi, Thai, and some...Chickasaw. Needless to say, I hardly remember anything they tought me. Everything was crammed in so fast and I was pretty good for the day, when I got home I could remember everything but...now I forgot. Thats okay though, I'll go one ( lol, okay TWO languages at a time, thanks.)
I had already learned some Thai before, which was good because our Thai teacher pretended not to know ANY english, he just started clammering on in Thai and while I understood VERY VERY LITTLE, it was a start atleast.... Eventually after he really freaked us all out he started speaking english...yea. Cool guy though.
Steph and SAva:
side note: LOOK AT MY NEW SUNGLASSES!! *hearts for eyes* I looovveeee them. They are men's...the only sunglasses that I LIKE are mens, every time I look for sunglasses all I find for girls are either the thick framed black ones, or leapord ones, or pink ones. errrrrr. But I love these, looovvveee!
Friday was State ARt, twas pretty fun. Our team had one first place for the critical thinking project so we competed at state for that, then I had to do an on-site painting. We had to paint a requium for an artist off of a list that they gave us. Lol, strangely enough, Blue Man Group was on the list. And while a requium is supposed to be a song for the dead, and the Blue Men arent dead, I pretended they were and did them for my onsite :p It turned out Okay, I got an 18. *shrug* Could have been a lot better, but it could have been a lot worse.
Ok, I have to show you my hat. It was for the critical thinking project, we were a 'car' sorta...and I was the headlights. And at regionals we couldnt use props, but at state we can....so I made myself a pair of headlights. I also had emergency flashers on my hands, and check out that lisence plate. I Love this hat, It was a scrubby old menards hat that I painted and put bows/ribbons and flashlights on..lol. I should wear it to football games.
Saturday, Katie, Paula, Steph and I went shopping, I bought the last fabric for my prom dress ( lol I have one week to finish it? YIKES!) and jewlrey and stuff. *points* In the pic i'm wearing my last prom fabric around my shoulders, and you can kinda see the necklace I bought to go with it? *melts into a puddle of fabric loving goo* Its silk brocade, I am in love. and the rest of my dress is a green/gold. Yea, I'm excited. I'm gonna look like a Packer. haha. And Sava's wearin my new BEAUTIFUL sungogs :)
*sigh* okay playtime is over, back to real life, where I have a million stresses and worries...and 4 days to resolve them all.
