Housewife Divine
Scott and I watched the original Sabrina last night, with Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden. I heart that movie. I want to marry it. LORDY, Audrey Hepburn had a tiny little waist!
I was all housewifey this morning. Scott was running late, so I got up at 5:30 in the morning to make his lunch and coffee. Then I unloaded the dishwasher, started a new load of laundry, and I'm about to fold the last load from last night. I've been up for just over an hour, and I've gotten so much done already! I don't see this happening every morning ;), but it was kind of fun today.
I got a Martha Stewart Christmas cookie magazine yesterday. Man, they have some good looking cookies in there. The nice thing is, not all of them are overly-Christmasy, so I can make them any time. Out of all of the bakery sweets, I am definitely best at cookies. Haven't mastered pie crust yet (actually, I haven't even tried but twice), and my homemade cakes always come out too dense. I know that I mix them too much--I'm still getting the hang of using the Kitchen Aid Mixer. :)
My 2nd writing assignment is due tomorrow, and I am so far behind. I'm only about halfway done with my rough draft. A lot of crap got in the way this past month, so I will have to step it up today to get it done. I will be taking the ol' laptop to Starbucks after I drop Sam off at school. For some reason, my creative mind works better there than it does at home.
