Supposedly rational evolution

Memetic evolution is supposedly rational, because the "carrier" is supposed to be cognizant on how much or little each meme has "benefited" (however that's supposed to be measured) him or her. Then each meme gets weeded out by people carrying them. Uh huh.

How in the world does a person automatically do that? A person doesn't do that constantly and can't do it anyways even if they want to. They might think an idea is good for them but isn't that a subjective measurement? Memetics is BS. Memes are dependent on subjective attachment, and tastes change constantly and not for consistent reasons (even the mood affects how much a person likes or hates an idea). You might as well keep track of the 36 flavors of Baskin Robbins Ice Cream and how many people like each.

syke-ology, stupid
