At least 2 (at last count) disabled friends will eventually have an easier time finding and keeping doctors, now that the payouts for Medicaid will be raised to match Medicare, which far more providers accept

The really sad thing is if someone had just taken to time to list out just a few of the benefits and how they help "me", as you just did, there might have been a lot less sound and fury over this whole thing. Instead Nancy got that pissed off look and did the "I know best, sit down and shut up" thing, which frankly pissed me off. But I am thrilled my sister who shares my body structure but not all the weight will be able to start getting the proper health care she needs including diabetes testing.
I know. The sad part is, everyone that I talk to who says they don't like it, when I ask them which part exactly they don't like? They can't tell me, because they don't actually KNOW what's in it.
Of course then I get to tell them about all the goodies we get :) which does make me feel slightly dirty, but i expect i'll get over it.
