Winterizing the shady deck
It’s Wonderful day today! I was able to completely sort out all the bits of wood under the woodworking table.
I stood all the long boards up that were here and there and one line using the railing to keep the ball straight.
I moved the workbench over into the shady deck and then used it to sort all the mini pieces of wood beneath it. I sorted them by thickness and size. I was surprised how many, eel shaped pieces there were
After work all day, Willem and I took the trailer with the kayak and fire container To our daughter’s house.
We brought To our daughters house.
We brought back a treadmill. And I managed to get it around to the back door of the house at the end of the living room, and put it inside. Took quite a lot of work.
I love that I could use Tylenol and a bit of a caffeine pill to help me be paying free to get all this stuff done. I also sorted all the tools and screws while I was back there working on the workbench.
I used to small magnet and went for a bit of a walk on the treadmill. That was really good. I hope I can do a lot more of that
I got into watching grass shelter building ideas from people on YouTube.
I hope that I get a lot of that kind of video showing up now. I think I should also start watching Bob and lace and weaving videos. Maybe spinning, too. I need to Branch out and do more things.
I cleaned up the kitchen and it looks so nice. I love that it stays that way for days. I would cleaning out the three cat litters every time they are used. I have a great scoop and a bag And then I just throw out the bits outside. It’s nice to be on top of it and not to have to take care of a huge container that has been collecting for a week or more.
Willem did a load of socks yesterday after he fixed the washing machine. I was so grateful that he was able to fix it. He can take off the front and then there’s a little Hose that comes out so that you can empty out the water that slept in there, and then you can reach in and take out anything that’s plugging the drain. It wasn’t much, but some thing was plugging it up. So he was able to get rid of that and make it work again.
I was beside myself, not knowing who to call.
This morning I had the possibility of going to exercise class, actually two of the meet on Mondays, but I am so glad I stayed home and worked on all this instead.
I made a very long video while I did it, as well.
I put the door back on the hinges . There is a Dutch door with a bottom flap. So you’re open the drawer and the snow is a foot high, but the flap will move out of the way so that you can open the door above it and then you’ll be able to snow blow out that way.
I also took a swing and put it down in the narcissus garden. The trumpet garden I had to support website up on a few boards, but it’s really really nice now. I’m so glad I moved it there now. I can use it.
I also unscrewed the yellow slide. I’d like to clean up that part of the deck, as well. Not sure where the slides should go, but I will figure that out.
I would like to move the trampoline off the deck, as well. I think that would be pretty easy to do.
Actually, it would be terribly hard to do. There’s the metal ring around the top of the screen and poles. Then there is the mat and the springs and the cover and then there are the polls that hold it upright. Perhaps I should just dismantle it for the winter. And then I can put it back up in the spring.
I have some gourds stored under the deck in black plastic bags. I think it’s time to take them out and use them. I would like to use one as a dipper in the stream, and maybe make bird houses out of some of them, or just do some woodburning on them.
We have an appointment to go to the temple on Thursday, but the children are also coming on Thursday so one of us will have to stay home. So I will go with Patty and I asked Lise if she wanted to come along too, but I haven’t heard back from her yet
Even though I heard a lot and have no energy left, I feel so awesome to have accomplished a lot today. I really need to get this de in order.
I’m glad that the trailer is empty now so I can load up stuff can go to the dump. Maybe Willem can take it to the dump on Thursday when I’m gone to the temple. That would be so awesome.
I love this treadmill. I really enjoyed walking on it earlier. I had to keep turning it up so I could walk faster.
I also wanna start painting. And I have the sewing machine set up and would like to start sewing, as well.
