Getting the cats done

Nov 04, 2024 21:27

I signed up a long time ago sometime in the early summer to have three cats neutered. Back then it was going to be different cats than it is now. Two of the former cats went missing, likely because of a fisher.

So we have these twin cats that belong to the children, which are both black with white paws. The only difference is that one knows is pink. That is Dino. The other one is Kimbop. The third one is Mongol.

I am not certain what the sexes of the three are. They may all be males or one may be a female.

One of the black cats jumps up and pees on my bed or on the couch in the family room.

Is there anyway to deal with that? I can’t believe I am actually investing money in this cat that behaves so terribly. But they are all really nice cats. And the children love them. Otherwise, I would not have them. It’s quite disturbing.

So I will have to get rid of that couch. I had a big blanket on it, and when I took the blanket off yesterday, it had been saturated by cat pee.

Willem and I are both nose blind for the most part now. So I don’t even know if it’s stunk up my house.

I don’t want to have a house that smells like cat pee.

I try and keep them outside most of the time so they do their business, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Obviously. I rounded up three cages for the cats and put them in the back of the car last night. They weren’t supposed to eat after 10 o’clock, so I put them in the cat carrier and two Large animal traps.

Willem put a blanket in one because it had had water and ice in it Before I put it in the car, and I didn’t want the cat to get cold overnight.

I got scratched pretty badly by Mongol when I put him in one of the cages.

At about 3 AM I check the weather and it showed heavy snow. There’s no way I wanted to drive for an hour and a half during heavy snow to get to, the Kat bay place by 8 AM.

It was going to stop in an hour after 4 AM, but by then there could be a lot of accumulation.

Since I couldn’t be late, I took a chair and my violin and a coat and my boots and headed off to the car.

The three cats were sleeping happily in their cages and were not cold in the car.

I needed to get to the cat spay clinic place by 8 AM.

It was raining, but there was a small bit of slush on the porch. it was hard rain for quite a while and then finally by the time I got down there, the rain had stopped.

It was dark when I arrived around 5 AM, but then slowly began to get brighter. I folded the rows around and parked in the spot for the morning drop off.

I am first, obviously. I will spend the day doing something interesting I hope.

Maybe I can sit by the river in my chair and play my violin if the weather is not too bad. I have to pick up the cats at four.
