Morning
The sun was up when I pulled the covers off my head and realized I’d left the window open all night.
We are used to the cold here, eh!
The family was all in the family room in search of the clicker. I suppose someone took it into another room one day. It was nice to see everyone before they left for work and childcare.
Desi and I looked up the May beetle and other things.
I went ovr to Scarlett’s to see what they have been working on. Bo does very nice work!
I especially liked the stairs he built. I need to copy his design.
Knee physiotherapy
I went to town for Physiotherapy on my knees and back. It was very informative! She gave me exercises for my quads, aductors, and other leg muscles to tighten up the ligaments that are loose since the degeneration of the cartilage. Also I could walk better afterwards!
Clothespins
I checked the clothes pegs at the craft store. They were more expensive than the flimsy ones with the little spring that falls off all the time. I made a bunch from the dowels I bought last week.
I stopped by the lumber yard and found lots of chair furniture.wood.
On the way home I drove through the backroads and dug up some marsh marigold plants from a roadside ditch and some from deep in the forest.
I came home, checked in with willem who had done stuff for me. He’s been harvesting fiddleheads, doing dishes and laundry and his own stuff.
I went to the Gypsy Cabin and planted them in a row across the front of the cabin, in the water alongside the log and slab walkway
I made a big mess in the water, digging holes for the flowering plants, and then standing in the water, I pulled out all the weeds and grasses. There’s a Sedge growing alongside the Horseshoe island side of the the reflecting pond. I churned the water up pretty badly, subjecting a million tadpoles to muddy waters.
I rested in the cabin for a time, then lay on the bed to study the scriptures. The phoebe is quite put out that I relax under her best. They kept flying back and forth.
I moved my stuff into the paddleboat and worked on raking the grasses and plants out and getting those squash seeds planted.
Willem cane down and worked on raking another section of the outer, south wall on the third ridge. I didn’t feel very successful, but I was able to get several more sections of earth opened up and planted with squash and onions.
He had to do stuff in town so I came up around the same time and got ready for the kids to come home.
I moved some of the wood out of the way on the deck, sorting what I’ll need to finish the pottery studio.
