Church, knitting Zane's booties and a bit of genealogy

Nov 15, 2015 14:07

Willem left without saying goodbye, so didn't know I was planning to come with him, so I drove myself to church later. Darn. I tidied up our bedroom first. It was a raw day, but it wasn't raining.

The talks were good. I was glad my good friend Melody was there. I never know where to sit when I go to church. Willem used to sit with me, but now that he sits at the front and I have no family to sit with, it's a bit lonely finding the spot to sit!

There are three newborn babies in the branch, all born in the same week. Two families are coming, but one mommy isn't coming again yet. I hope she comes back soon. I know how hard it is with a baby, especially when your husband isn't a member and coming to help.

I left after church without staying to visit. We were going to go into the city to visit with Daniel, but he hadn't gotten back to me yet. Desi was also not home and Alida was getting ready for work. So we just came home.

I did some checking on my genealogy against the family history book I have. I also watched a bit of signing time. Then I worked on the booties for the rest of the evening, finally finishing them, unless I want them to be taller. I watched a few episodes of Bones while I knitted. It's hard to knit on fine things with my bad finger that hasn't got the right feeling in it yet. Regrowing nerve.
