Tweaking Mom's care
I talked to Fe this morning. Smaller meals, one egg runny inside with one piece of toast cut in half for dipping into the egg. Change her hearing aid batteries once a week or so. (they were all corroded when I checked them last night!!!)
No regular bacon because she will pull the fat off. Turkey bacon she will eat.
Let her wake up at 10:30 if she is still asleep at 10. I went up with Fe, sho was trying hard to wake her up. It was breaking my heart. So I asked that she wait till 10:30 to come get her up. Let her have her sleep! She's up a lot in the night anyway.
I was uncomfortable in the night, so ended up reading fb posts for awhile; then I fell back to sleep.
I suggested to Fe Instant Oatmeal. Mom loves Oatmeal. Also diet coke with the caffeine. The non caffeine defeats the purpose! The coke perks her up in the afternoon.
I told her about going for a wheelchair ride around the front of the house to see the azaleas.
I brought down a basket of my books and the big bag of soap that was still up in my bedroom. I'm going to take a lot of this stuff back to Canada while I have an empty car. I will mail some of the soaps to Marthy in Hawaii while I'm still in the states, though.
