The autumn view and the day's activities
I woke up PAINFREE!! I went for a walk to the pond, even carrying down some plastic chairs! While down there I tossed some of the wooden stakes up onto the laneway where they can dry and I can pick them up with the car later. I put the chairs by the steps down from the laneway to the pond shallows and Desmond's dock.
I came back up and straightened up outside a bit, then came in to relax. I spent the morning working on my youtube channel. I was pretty upset about some changes that had been made, so Willem gave me a blessing. I felt better after awhile.
He went to teach with the missionaries, but I opted to stay home as I my feathers were still pretty ruffled.
Around noon, Abe had an appointment in Ottawa and Willem needed to go hometeaching, so I headed off to Ottawa with him, but first I made pasta with herb and garlic cream cheese for him and popcorn for both of us.
I ate too much trail mix on the way home, so feel rather bloated now. I have given up bread, along with the chocolate and most sugar.
The sun was out in Ottawa, but at home it was rather dreary, except for the lovely yellowing leaves. They have lots of dark brown spots on them, though, so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. They sure have changed fast.
You know, some people complain that the colours weren't just right this year or that year. I remember after filming the stunning colours, hearing people say they were quite dull last year. I was shocked that someone could look a gift horse in the mouth like that! Since when is nature on call for special orders!
I stopped by Alida's on the way back and saw baby Desmond in his swing, getting rocked to sleep. He is so adorable.
I came back home and am in the loft in the reclining anti gravity chair, looking out into the maple canopy. It's absolutely stunning to see the lovely yellow leaves.
I'm so grateful Maryjane suggested putting a window in here! It's the best idea, ever! Dale did a good job at it all, too, after the part MJ and I did! I love this spot! I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time in here! I'm not sure about weaving, now, though. It's so nice just to lie here and look at this huge tree trunk that used to be so narrow! and all the yellow leaves behind it! I never really got to see this before, certainly never got to have this awesome view!
