Downstairs bedroom floor temporarily down
I have been working on the downstairs bedroom. I have removed the rocking chair, swept the floor and laid down the 1X12X10's. I need three or four more of them to finish the edges of the room. I didn't nail them down yet. I want to make sure this is what I want in there. It looks nice, so far! I like it a lot.
I put the bed back against the north wall, the dresser against the south wall and the boxes beside the dresser behind the door. One container is at each side of the bed for end tables, until I get them put in the loft over the stairs eventually, after going through them again.
I took a shower in the downstairs bathroom. The new showerhead is nice, but the angle of the pipe is wrong. He'll fix that when he can, I suppose.
It took a long time to get that room in shape. I had so much stuff in it. I still have a few boxes to go through. When I get the bookshelves up in the weaving room I will be able to put them all away, I do believe.
I like the floor boards. It is a real wooden floor, not the laminate pretend flooring. It's real boards. It gives the house that old look like my grandmother's. She had the wide boards on her floors.
