The upstairs bathroom walls

I was hiding from all the work that needed to be done by Monday on the upstairs bathroom, mudding and painting so the vanity could go in, when Ginny and Matt came over. Matt agreed to work on the upstairs bathroom drywalling. Bless his heart!

Virginia wanted me to come downstairs, so I abandoned my spot and went down. She had decided to paint and wanted me to see what she had brought. I couldn't contain my overwhelmedness. I couldn't wrap my head around one more huge displacement of stuff in another room, especially when I was under so much pressure to do an unrelated job by Monday.

She agreed that I should go upstairs and watch Netflix while she started that new task. Shortly after, she came up with ibuprophen, water and an energy drink. I took them, then went back to watching Netflix.

When I started to feel a bit better, she had joined Matt in working on the bathroom walls. I went down and sat at my loom, doing something mindless but at least productive. I hemmed the edges of the rug I had woven. I had to hem between the grey and the pink, two lines of blanket stitch as well at the first end of the weaving.

Meanwhile Willem played my favourite pieces, March of the Dwarfs, my Chopin ragtime piece, moonlight sonata third movement, some minuets, his latest composition, Debussy and Beethoven. It finally felt like I had my life back, doing what we do together, not any of this construction, reorganization, projects, etc. We just sat, me at the loom and Willem at the piano. It was blissful.

I loved taking my pink mop yarn rug off the loom. Ginny helped hold the top of it so I could measure it against the stairs. I think it will be lovely one day! After all of this disaster is over.

Virginia wanted me to help her in the living room or bathroom with the projects. I just couldn't. I know she gave me the ibuprophen so I would stop hurting and the energy drink so I would have the energy to work on washing the walls in the living room.

I love her ideas and her incentive to do projects, but I cant always get into doing it, too. They did an incredible job in the bathroom. That was what I really needed help with. I am so glad they did that.

Ginny washed the living room walls, which to me seemed far better than painting the room, especially when I didn't chose the paint. I love green, sea green, or ocean spray or something like what I have now that will go with my couches, only lighter.
