Taking the day off
It's Sunday and I'm supposed to be at church, but today, for the first time in years, I'm taking the day off. I just can't be away from home for another day. Every day we have had to go somewhere, or live at Ben's. It's so nice to just be at home, in my own chair. I love my family, but I do need a break from all the driving.
I can't believe how much money we have burned through this month! Driving to Ottawa so many times, at $20 a day, all the groceries we've been buying, nearly every day... It's time to just stay home and chill out.
It was wonderful yesterday to be home for half a day and just relax. Willem loves his own computer space. There's really no place like home!
Willem started melting snow yesterday to fill the bathroom container so we can flush the toilets. So today I have three pots on the stove filled with snow so I can fill the container to the top, just as it is when the water is working and we have to pour it into the toilet.
