Journey north into NY

Apr 03, 2013 00:08

I had breakfast with my aunt, then drove for a few hours today. I stopped at a primitives place but it was closed. I stopped along the Susquehana and played my violin on my overturned Rubbermaid container till it started to collapse. My Grandfather's house is a good song for me.

I have been learning two songs that were sung in General Conference last October. Weary not, and If the Savour stood beside me. Both are really good songs. Last week I worked on If The Journey seem long...

I stopped to meet Janet and her daughter Melody. What sweet people they are. We had lunch together, then I continued on northward.

At Corning, NY I parked and put all my gourds in large black plastic bags Janet had given to me. I think the mold on them was getting to me.

I had a headache and my hip hurt. So I walked down the road, bought a couple pairs of Bass sandals for me and for Willem, put them in the car, then went along looking in the antique shoppes.

Afterwards, I continued along to Jen's. There had been flurries in Corning. Very late autumn weather, for sure!

I loved seeing her and the boys! They are growing tons. She's going to have a baby in June. So much for our summer fun! Unless she doesn't mind coming with them all!
