1. my feelings about my situation.
I love being here with my mom. I am getting to know her better each day. She tells me things that I'd never have known otherwise. I am not sitting in a house at home alone, doing things that really have no meaning or purpose, but are just time fillers. I love the weather and the things that it allows me to do with Mom.

2. my relationship with Heavenly Father.
I knelt to pray last night and this morning, instead of just lying in bed praying. For our breakfast blessing on the food, I was able to pray for the spirit to be with us and for Him to guide us in the things we do for the day and for protection and guidance in our day. It made me feel good. I find verbal prayers are much better for me as they keep me focused. I focus to say them, but they bless me as I hear the words, too.

3. Things I'm grateful for.
My awesome mom. The praise my mom gives me each time she sees me do anything. The earings I've been able to make and wear, giving me a great selection. My clothes that I was able to afford to buy because I was down here in the states where they are dirt cheap! The wisteria vines I collected yesterday at the neighbour's nearby. Getting to know who some of the neighbours are. Playing my violin for my mom. Being able to finally discover how to play by ear on the violin! Finally understanding how it works...after all these years. Having a wonderful husband who loves me and doesn't mind if I'm here instead of there spending the whole day alone. That I can cook and clean and take my mom places and do things around the house that simplify her life. That we get to eat out together!

4. What the Lord has done in my life today.
He protected us while we were out. He helped me not burn breakfast or anything. He kept us safe. He helped me play by ear. He helped me to vaccuum without back pain. He helped me upload my videos and work on my playlist. That all the internet stuff and laptops worked. That we were able to use the little speaker so Mom can hear the videos. That Willem was able to skype with me.

5. How I was able to hear His promptings and what they were about.
He prompted me to take a pillow cushion for Mom in case we went to a restaurant afterwards, but I ignored it. Instead I used my cd case which worked pretty well in the end.

6. Things I am involved in outside of my own life.
Uh, nothing? No, I am helping Daniel out with his schooling. I am conscious of those who watch my videos and their needs.

7. projects I worked on and the ones that are in the background waiting to be worked on.
yesterday I finished knitting a bottom to cover the bottom of one of my slippers to make it last longer. I worked on my playlist today, that's all.

8. Stuff that made me really happy.
Mom thinking I was doing really well with my violin playing. Chatting with the pregnant waitress. The movie, Practical Magic. Sitting in the swing with Mom. Having ice cream with melted strawberries and juice! Yummy Skyping with Willem, which is really more of gazing into our mirror of erised!

9. things that were difficult to do.
Get up this morning. Clean out the vaccuum cleaner bag to reuse it. Make breakfast while my back hurt.

10. Something I learned.
I could draw the basset hound from the picture eventhough I didn't really know much about a basset hound. That the roasted potatoes at IHOP have some wonderful spices on them. I need to figure out which ones and use them! How to pick out a few hymns and songs by ear on the violin
