I was thrilled to see a lovely blue sky, so went out to snowshoe. I had to try flying my kite first, but after I realized it was missing its straws across the top and down the side, I gave it up.
I carried my poles and snowshoes down to the upper entrance, then followed the indentation where I'd snowshoed before. Deer tracks ran along hither and yon. I enjoyed looking at them and finding a deer bed.
It was hard to lift the snowshoes at times as it was pretty deep, but my ankles and hips got used to the effort.
The deer tracks went to the stream in many places, but it didn't look like the deer had been down to the water, except one place where the stream ice was punctured several times.
I videoed it, so I'll have to study it later.
The dry grass that is above the level of the snow has been scratching back and forth on the snow. I like the way that looks.
It was easy to snowshoe over the fallen logs as they were buried better now.
