I've sewn the sides of all my dish towels on the sewing machine. It's fun to sew. I haven't used the sewing machine in awhile.
I have these five 30" dishtowels that I wove on the loom at Mera. I've seen them for sale, one for $35 handwoven. Anyway, I'm keeping these. these are too good to use! I love them.
I sewed up the edge of each one zigzagging then came back with a straight stitch to hold all the threads in place.
Then I removed the two venetian blind strips I'd woven inbetween each towel. I did that for all five of them. They look so nice. I need to cut them apart, now. I will have to video this! It's such a wonderful success! It was so simple to do, too. Just winding the bobbins was a big chore.
It is sunny and I'm inside. I don't have the desire to go outside and be in the sun now. I appreciate what someone said about being in the house when it's sunny cos the house is lit up so brightly. I like that attitude.
