I wasn't sure if they'd be on time, as the snow is coming down very quickly and was accumulating.
I hadn't cleaned up much, but they didn't care. He is a professor from Maine who teaches botany. So I have been picking his brain about what I should plant in Sedge Meadow.
Tamaracks suck up the water in there and will grow very nicely.
He said black spruce are also good ones in wetlands. They will grow well as long as the roots dry out part of the year anyway. That's probably why there are so many of them in the forested expanse near here.
He also said red maples, which are also called swamp maples. I'm interested in doing this!
