Back in Georgia again!

We arrived at the Georgia state line and stopped at the rest area. I loved the living room furniture they had. It was being home. I didn’t want to drive again!

We looked at the map, knowing we were only about two hours from home on the other side of Atlanta, and didn’t want to arrive so quickly and finish our trip together.

So we looked for a lake. One was north of us. Lake Altoona or something. There was a state park there, too. Red Top Mountain State Park. So we discussed how to get there with the lady who worked there and figured out our pathway.

The GPS didn’t get it together very well for us, though. But we drove for an hour or more and eventually we got to the park.

We drove around to find a good campsite. We paid for one with water and electricity. There was a pile of clean ice outside which had crusted on top from the heat of the day.

We tossed the top ice aside and filled up our cooler with it and buried our water and cokes in it again! I am always amazed at how well it keeps stuff cold to put ice in there with the bottles.

I was glad to have bought the case of water bottles and the case of coke. Also the big jug of mountain dew and a couple containers of sparkling something or other.

I must have been feeling better, cos when we stopped for gas I bought three reeces cups bars…and ate them later, too.
