We are camping at Red Top Mountain State Park. We just went swimming. The water was as warm as we were. I’m covered in sweat again.

We can’t find the powder. That’s kinda essential.

A big spider was in here in the tent with me and I killed him. Eeeek.

The lake was incredibly beautiful. Of course, when we went for a swim in it, it was dark. There was lightning in the distance, but a three quarter moon and lots of stars out.

We floated in the lake for awhile. Quite a lovely warm swim. I didn’t dry off after I got out so I could get cool, but it didn’t work that way.

We put up Mariah’s new tent. It’s a great tent for her. We didn’t have four D batteries, so the pump didn’t work. So much for pumping up the air mattress. Instead, we put our various clothes and cushions on the floor and the sleeping bag over them and prepared to sleep there. But it was so hot inside, I thought I’d put up the hammocks instead.

So now we have two hammocks up. Mary found my powder so I’m in luck. Bonus! I feel so much better when I get all powdered up.

I think the laptop light is drawing the bugs, though.

I didn’t think my back would fare very well in there with a flat surface. So here in the hammock is just wonderful.

We heard an owl. A hoot owl. There are cicadas or tree frogs singing away right now.

Mary brought me a drape for a sheet. Nice.
