glass windows from the dump

Oct 19, 2008 17:05

We went by the dump just as it was closing. They had thrown away a lot of the broken windows but Maria had made sure the good ones were still there.

I was so glad. We brought home three shower doors and about ten large pieces of glass, the windows with knobs on them.

I think I will use my glass cutter to cut them to fit the places on the top of the tipi where I need them to live.

I can hold them in place with bent nails. Perhaps I could grind holes in them with my grinder. I don't want to use up the rough blade, though.

Willem unloaded them all for me while I moved the wood from the kitchen floor to the runner rug in the living room near the woodstove.

I'm so glad we got them today, as they were throwing out many of them into the dump proper.
