I used a big ball of soap leftovers when I took a shower this morning. It was good soap, I thought, but I have all these tiny spots that sting now. I guess scraping the bottom of the bowl, or letting the rain fill them up and then collecting it, is good for harsh strong soap which can be lye heavy.
So now should I take a shower with vinegar? Naw, too much trouble. However, if these tiny spots are lye burning through, then they’ll continue to burn through to my bones if I don’t neutralize them. :p lol. I’ll take my chances. I can always dab a cotton ball on a spot if it’s really burning! Nothing is that bad, though.
I’ll use that soap for cleaning. I used the soap upstairs on the dirty sink and it came up sparkling clean! I was quite impressed.
I was wondering about how to make soap that would actually strip the fat off my hands when I'm working with tallow. I think that’s the one! So heavy on the lye, but not TOO much.
I'm sitting here playing Lost Trivia again. 53! What a rank out of 450,000! Ah, the joy of success!
