my leg was good enough to go to my tipi!

It was cold out today so I put on a few layers and went to stand around outside and enjoy the day. The lawnmower was so inviting, so I tried mowing a few feet, but it died. Oh well.

I took my bike and walked it down the sand hill to the paved highway, or county road. It felt rather squishy. Oops. Didn’t check the tires.

I rode to my tipi and was so glad to be there! I parked it along the highway against the guard wire and went to lie in my hammock. I had brought along the clock with a battery in it, which I put up on the wall, in between the alder branches.

I had to adjust the hide upward on the wall to give myself some lovely shade.

I lay and journaled for awhile, then walked along the fence row to find out how my Basketry willows are growing. They are splendid.

I am going to get more from the labyrinth at the schoolhouse tomorrow when I go there for pottery in the morning and for basketry in the afternoon!

I sat in the chair in the ‘backyard’ of my tipi, then went on to the stream where I sat in each of the first three chairs for a long time.

I made a few Nancy Today’s. One was about how to become more spiritual. The second was what to do if you meet up with a black bear in the wilderness.

I made another in the fiddleheads in the ostrich ferns. I searched along looking for the fiddleheads that I’d cut to see what damage is left after cutting them.

It was hard to tell just exactly what damage I’d done in there. The entire fern patch looked wonderful! It didn’t look like I’d done any damage at all. But then what do I know about such matters!
