Praying on paper

As I was on my knees this morning, I got a wonderful idea. I have a hard time making myself kneel down to pray. I pray a lot when I’m walking my labyrinth, the long one down at the highway.

I could pray into my journal. I could type-pray! I could then keep the prayers so I can see how often I’m praying.

This would work! I could stay focused for far longer. Something about my brain works better when I am typing, or writing. I used to pray that way when I was a youth. Those prayers fill journals in boxes in the loft!

I am filled with the spirit this morning. I knelt to pray after I got up and stood looking at the reflections all over the room of the view out the window. I received revelations of things I can do in my life to help Him. there are a few people that need to be contacted and cheered through this winter of bleakness. I’m so grateful it’s not bleak for me this year!

I thought about Pres. Hinckley’s funeral on BYU.tv/ that I watched last night. It was so special. The love the brethren have for him, the love his daughter has and the memories many shared for him. It was so uplifting. It filled my room with the spirit.
