Still powerless!

Got back to the Casa de Walker to find the power still out. To add insult to injury, there was a note on the door advising us that, effective 1/1/05 our rent is going up $10/month. Management -knows- we've had no electric for a week! Tact? What's that??
Cleaning the fridge was as bad as we'd feared. Freezer, especially - multiple pounds of chicken and pork-loin either spoiled or questionable. It's going to get expensive to replace all this stuff, but it beats risking food-poisoning.
We brought a big pile o' dirty clothes back here to 's. Will be nice to have clean clothes to choose from.
So, we do what we have to, and pray for a return of Electricity!
