Titania has been worshipped since human time began. Her personas are numerous as the stars: Queen, Goddess, Dark Lady. Before her ex-husband's decree, she walked among mortals and took their reverence as her due, gave them her magic or not by her whim. She was feared and loved, the feminine power embodied in her mercurial form.
Now she lives in a brownstone in Queens, a jest on herself she cannot ever explain to Halcyon. Her names are different here: Wife, Scientist.
Janine flings tiny arms around her knees. "Hi, Mommy!" As titles go, she thinks, it has a certain ring.
