Many soldiers in Iraq asked for toys for the local children this Xmas. A few days ago, a girl in Falujah sat down in the road in front of a Us patrol and refused to move. As the convoy drove around ehr slowly, the last vehicle noticed the teddy bearshe was holding and stoped to ask her what was wrong. She pointed to a land mine just behind her in the road.
Many countries who cry out that the US is the source of evil in the world are eagerly holding their hands out right now for our money to help them rebuild. It's amazing how many countries have "Disaster Amnesia" and want to take the money the Great Satan offers them.
The first 8 planes to reach the coasts of the Indian Ocean were American planes. The US had spent $15 million in relief endevours by the end of the first day of the disaster and it was all obviously not for the 12 dead Americans out of the now over 100,000 body count. However we're too "stingy and selfish" accourding to the UN, all the while France has given less than $2,000.
The UN can go fuck themselves. Foregin governments can do the same. In the end, it's the people of these countries who realise that while the US has plenty of flaws and problems, we do far more than our fair share to aid the world. We were the ones who brought democracy to Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, and South Korea to name a few. We were the reason the worldwide Great Depression ended. Where the UN has taken the lead, such as Hati and Bosnia, everything has failed.
