To say that this last week has been a whirl wind would be the understatement of the century. I now find myself poised on the edge of a fantastic new journey, one that I had only dreamed about but a week before. It's hard not to get to excited and disclose too many details, seeing as I want to stand on my roof and cheer!
For starters, I will be leaving Big Corporate Store soon. My last day there is the 18th, and I couldn't be happier. On the 22nd, I will start my new role as Charming Receptionist Downtown. It happened fast, a phone call Monday, interveiw Tuesday, and start day set Wednesday. Aside from the nice jump in pay, there are so many perks that I just can't go through them all. I'll still be working with people, though a different set of them. I get to look pretty everyday, paint my nails, jewelry, cute shoes. I'll be right next door to where some of my closest friends work, oh, and it's a locally ran place - no horrible corporate mumbo. I'm so excited I'm about to burst. I turned in my two-week's notice, resigned as Safety Team lead, and took a well deserved shopping trip. (My wardrobe suffered pretty badly over the last year and a half). Progress feels good, so here's to what's to come, to turning a new road, and to Moving On.
In other news, did anyone see the Olympics? I'm a total Olympic junkie. I love it, and watch every minute possible. This time around I also participated in the Knitting Olympics and Ravelmpics by starting a baby sweater (
Trellis) during the opening ceremonies and finishing by the end of the closing ceremonies. I made it, if barely! I sewed on the buttons at Knitting that Sunday night.
Here it is modeled by the lovable "Squeaker".
