corporal punishment: vice principal style
so the vice principal at my school helps me teach the 4th graders, who are split in half for two different periods so they get the bestest English education possible. They would, that is, of the vice principal actually tried to help class. Instead he spends most of the team beating up on the boys trying to get them to be quiet. 3rd period one boy was being loud so kocho sensei bent down, put him in some kind of headlocke for a bit, wrestled with him, and then spanked him. He didn't spank him that hard and the kid sort of thought it was funny in a "try to get away from the vice principal like it's a game" kind of way.
4th period, there was another kid misbehaving. Well, he really wasn't that bad, he was repeating everything really loud and playing along and having fun. But apparently the vice principal thought he was goofing around too much or not sitting right or something so he gave him a good spank and the kid was pissed. the kid went to the back of the room and started throwing his crayon box around and slamming the floor, saying it really hurt. The kid didn't really participate in the rest of the class and getting spanked hard really took all the energy and enthusiasm he did have away. And this is a 4th grader we're talking about you, a 9 year old kid getting spanked at school.
I don't really like the vice principal so I might narc on him, there's no way he should be hitting the kids like that.
