another piece of my writing

I dunno what is about me, but whenever i write somethin...it always ends up sad lol but anyways...this is my newest and its kinda rushed so i'll prolly end up re-writing it. By the way...the name chise is pronounced (she's a) for all you americans who can't pronounce japenese names lol and these names i used from actual anime for all u anime freaks like me. Also the name Shuji should be pronounced (shoeji) lol have fun.

The blood was dripping from my head as i dragged myself across the sidewalk. "Chise....Chise...." I could barely speak as i tried to get to her house. I looked down at the left side of my body, still denying the damage i had taken. Just past my knee, a good inch or two of bone pierced my skin, and with every move the pain shot through my body. My eyes again traveled up my side which was very badly scraped from dragging across the littered street. As my eyes reluctantly settled on my arm, the shock of the gruesomeness flooded my mind again. Everything from my elbow down to my hand was completely twisted around and there was no feeling in it at all. Even though the pain was great, i had to get to her...

"Chise..." i groaned again before collapsing on what was left of the street...i couldn't move again if i had tried. I could have sworn i heard footsteps but i wasn't sure at first. The noise grew louder until i had to lift my head to see what it was "Shuji, Shuji!" i heard a voice screaming as the footsteps came closer to me. I tried to put a name with the voice, but my head was swimming from the loss of blood. I heard the familiar voice again as the footsteps stopped just at my arm "Oh God...Shuji," she said as she sunk to her knees, just where i could see her face. "K-Kasuna," i mumbled as i tried to at least sit up. She sounded like she was crying, and i was pretty sure it was tears that i could feel hitting my injured arm, "You have to see Chise," She was trying to help me up. After a few minutes i managed to get on one of my feet, with Kasuna holding most of my weight. Every footstep seemed to be a mile, and the pain was unberable, yet i had to see Chise...

After what seemed like forever, we finally made it back to the three-story pile of rubble that once was a home to Chise's family. When we made it to the makeshift entrance, Kasuna broke down into hysterical tears, screaming at the top of her lungs, "There all dead except for Chise!" With that i set her down the best i could, and held her with my one good arm until she drifted into a fitful sleep, "She's a tough girl," I thought to myself as i once again had to drag my way into the house. The inside of the house was worse than i thought. What was once a three-story home now just lay a pile of rubber. This also provided an instant graveyard for Chise's parents, who lay impaled on what was left on the couch; seemingly unaware of anythng that had happend. I closed my eyes trying to put the thought out of my head as i felt my way down the hall. Eventually i found my way into Chise's room, where i propped myself against the side of her bed where i nearly went into shock for more than the first time in a single day.

Her pillow alone had soaked through with blood, among the thick puddles now dripping off the sides of the bed here and there. Tears streamed down my face as i looked over her half-exposed body. Deep gashes and wounds were poorly bandaged and her body was ghastly pale. I took her hand into one of my own "Chise please..." I whispered in her ear hoping it wasn't too late already I gently squeezed her hand, and she opened one of her eyes, which the other was bandaged shut "Shuji," i heard a very faint whisper as she looked at me. "Yes, i'm here Chise." i replied as i tried to hold back the tears. Slowly she looked over her body, and then her eyes returned to mine and after a few moments "I'm...i'm sorry for leaving you like this," she whispered. "No don't be sorry," i said in return as i rubbed my bloodied hand against her arm "You're going to be fine, and we're going to get you some help." i said, hoping i wasn't lying to myself. As i went to hopefully find help for her, she wouldn't let go of my arm. "Please don't leave me," she managed to say as i noticed blood starting to trickle from her mouth "Just...just hold me until i die."

With that said i almost lost my mind, but i crawled into the blood-stained bed with her and pulled her into my arms. "Chise I...I love you so much," I stammered as the tears streaked down my face. I felt her hand on my face, wiping my tears away "Please, Shuji help me sit up," she begged. The scary part was that as she asked me this, she had the sweetest smile on her face. I couldn't directly pick her up because of my own injuries so i had to straddle her legs. It pained me to see the expressions on her face, but she insisted on my helping her. So with my good arm i leaned down, and wrapped my arm around her body. As i lifted her body off of the bed, her head was stuck to the pillow from the amount of blood loss; and when her head came loose, the sickening sound of skin and blood ripping as the pillow dropped onto the bead. I buried my head into her shoulder crying as i held her. For moments i held her and she would rub my back and neck...I felt her hand slide against my face, and she pulled my face close to hers. I looked into her beautiful golden eye, filled with tears as she pressed her lips against mine. Even though i tasted the blood in her mouth, i couldn't care about anything except for us being together. "Shuji....I love you too" she said as we finally broke the kiss. For all the world in me, i wanted to tell her i loved her, but as i opened my mouth she coughed and i felt the blood splatter against my chest. And with one last look from her good eye, she fell against my body. I groaned in pain but she was still breathing. I closed my eyes after a while and the memories came flooding back...

Only about 20 minutes ago i was finishing up my homework. I planned on going to see Chise, and today was the two-year anniversay since was started dating. She was so beautiful with her golden eyes that beamed in the light. Her hair reminded me of sunrise, A delightful shade of blonde that always provided the glow of the rest of her body.....I was in the middle of changing clothes when it happened. The strange part was that there was no warning, all i could hear was the jets screaming overhead. I paid no mind to it until the first explosion. Soon, everything around was exploding, and i was running for the front door. As i came down the stairs, the building collapsed and a two-by-four came across my head. The blow must have knocked me unconscious because i don't remember anything after that. After i had woken up, i made my way outside, praying that her house would be intact. But for miles around all i could see was houses leveled, craters from the bombs that hit. The cityscape from the main part of the city was demolished, and our small town lay in ruins. All i could remember is hearing that our town would be left out of all the destruction. But here i was laying in the middle of hell, everywhere i looked destruction and death lay around....and all of a sudden i felt a body go limp in my arms.

I snapped back to reality as i felt her body slump "Chise...Chise!" i yelled as i gently shook her. After realising that my nightmare had come true, i gently laid her body to rest. Kasuna had come back, proabably hearing me screaming. "She's dead isn't she?" her young voice asked with the water building in her eyes again. Wordlessly, i leayed my head against the tattered body before me, and Kasuna joined at my side, and for what seemed as an eternity we cried...
